It looks like love is surely on the menu cards on the latest season of MasterChef Australia: Back To Win. This is because contestants, Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary, have revealed to the world that they have moved in together after the shooting of the cooking reality show wrapped. Yes! You read that right. Sarah and Declan confirmed being in a relationship, which came as a shock to all their fans and also as a surprise. Both of them hit it off together, and in the company of each other, they grew close as they spent time with one another both on and off the sets.

According to a report by the Stellar Magazine, Sarah and Declan spent one of the weekends in the Grampians National Park. They had their first official date there, and then Declan, with his dog, Sol, moved from Sydney to Melbourne. He is staying with Sara and Phoenix, who is her 14-year-old son. The couple revealed to the publication that they were in a relationship, and it was Declan who asked Sara out for a date. He shared:
“I said, ‘Sarah, can I ask you something? Would you like to go on a date with me?'” “And she just looked at me and said, ‘You’re a blo*** id***.”
Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary did not force themselves into a relationship
The couple in the interview further discussed what it was like to stay together in Melbourne. It is interesting to note that Declan asked Sarah for a date before she was going for an elimination challenge round on MasterChef Australia. Declan, who is aged 27, did confess that they did not force one another to date and shared:
“Nothing was ever rushed or forced – we just enjoyed spending time together, and Sarah, being from Melbourne, knew all the places to go. So we’d go to the beach, or go-karting, and we went out for lots of dinners.”
How did Sarah Todd say yes to Declan Cleary?
For the unversed, Sarah is 38 while Declan is 27. He took the opportunity to tell her about his feelings when she was heading for the elimination task, which was surely not the best time to make the decision. However, it did not take much time for Sarah to realise that she also felt the same for Declan and shared with the publication of saying yes to Declan. Sarah shared:
“After I got through the stress of the elimination and had a couple of days to recover, I realised it made sense.”
Who are Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary?
For the unversed, Declan, back in 2023, had entered the MasterChef kitchen where, on season 15 of the cooking reality show, he was a contestant. He showed off his cooking skills and his adoration for seafood, which gave him third place. In the latest season of MasterChef Australia, Declan is the youngest contestant who has a lot of energy, and this gives him a lot of advantage in the kitchen. On the other hand, Sarah has entered MasterChef Australia for the third time, and it was in 2014 when she entered the sixth season of MasterChef Australia. She had come 9th on the show.
