Chitrangada Singh has spoken out strongly against those who troll celebrities for undergoing cosmetic procedures. The Housefull 5 actress highlighted how stars, particularly women, are often unfairly judged for making efforts to enhance their appearance.
Chitrangda Singh on cosmetic procedures: “In a visual medium, enhancing oneself is absolutely fine”
In an interview on Varinder Chawla’s YouTube channel, Chitrangada addressed the criticism around cosmetic enhancements, stating there’s nothing wrong with improving one’s appearance if it boosts confidence. “I think if somebody is in a visual medium and is using something to enhance themselves, it’s absolutely fine. We are evolving so I feel that unnecessary assassinating somebody’s whole character over it, I don’t approve of that at all,” she said.
While acknowledging that constructive criticism can be useful, Chitrangada Singh highlighted the stark difference between feedback and online trolling. “It’s ok if you have a constructive criticism but trolling is so unnecessary. Sometimes they say very demeaning stuff, and it’s very hurtful, I am shocked sometimes,” she shared.
Chitrangada Singh was recently seen in Housefull 5, which hit theatres on June 6, 2025. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Warda Nadiadwala, and Firuzi Khan under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film features an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Sanjay Dutt, Johny Lever, Chunky Panday, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Ranjeet, Nikitin Dheer, Sonam Bajwa, and Soundarya Sharma. Housefull 5 was released in two versions, 5A and 5B, each offering a different climax.
