Drew Kohn, a 30-year-old Florida man whose miraculous recovery from a 244-day coma had defied medical odds, tragically lost his life in a vehicular accident on Friday.
Kohn was struck by a pickup truck while walking on Collins Road in Jacksonville at around 5:30 am, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The driver, who reported not seeing Kohn, immediately called 911, but it was too late.Kohn was pronounced dead at the scene.

I’m at peace,” she said. “I got seven years and like Hezekiah who turned his face to the wall, I remember sitting on Drew’s hospital bed and saying to myself, ‘Thy will be done.’”
Osborne-Kohn takes comfort in her belief that her son is now in heaven, free from suffering. “Drew is healed, walking, not struggling to keep his balance,” she said. “His arm is probably lifted so high saying ‘Thank you, Jesus!’ Drew probably has a football in one hand and a Bible in the other,” she said as quoted by the New York Post.
