Rajeev Khandelwal’s wife was worried about her parents when their dating rumours got leaked
Rajeev Khandelwal recently sat down for a conversation with Zoom and shared how his private life was suddenly made public, which affected his wife, Manjiri. The actor, who was the talk of the town when he hosted the controversial show, Sacch Ka Saamna in 2009, revealed that at that time, he admitted in the media that he was not single. However, he thoughtfully chose to keep his girlfriend’s name under wraps. However, the media was not ready to back down, and a publication dug out his picture with her on Facebook. Recalling the situation, he said:
“They found her picture on Facebook, and I was told it was going to be printed. She started crying when she heard her photo would be in the paper. Her parents didn’t know anything.”
Since Manjiri came from a conservative middle-class family, they had no idea she was dating an actor, let alone Rajeev Khandelwal who has been a big name in the showbiz. The actor did his best to solve the situation by calling up the editor and requesting him to understand the gravity of the situation and not publish it, but they did it anyway. Since Rajeev knew how news could impact Manjiri and her family, he took a bold and respectful step, which Manjiri’s father admires to date. Sharing his plan, the actor said:
“That morning, knowing the article was about to land in homes across the country, I secretly got her father’s number and messaged him at 6 AM. Sir, this is Rajeev Khandelwal. This is going to happen. Here’s my number. If you have any concerns, please call me. I want to be man enough to stand up and not hide.”

Rajeev Khandelwal in his previous show, JuzzBaatt…Sangeen Se Namkeen Tak recalled how he tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Manjiri and revealed that he proposed to Manjiri on the day they got engaged. It was because the media was talking about their bond, and he decided to tell her father, who mentioned that he would discuss it with her mother, and finally, they got married in 2011.

Rajeev Khandelwal was already working in the entertainment industry when he met Manjiri in a puff.
