It’s Rosé’s second-ever Met Gala, and tonight she walks the carpet solo. The last time the singer attended the Gala was in 2021—when she was 24, dressed in Saint Laurent and accompanied by designer Anthony Vaccarello—as one of the brand’s ambassadors. “Anthony was the perfect date to my first Met—I feel sad that I’m missing him this year, but I’m all grown up now,” the singer tells Vogue. “I can pursue it myself, and I’m excited to be an independent woman on the carpet.”

Her second Met Gala doesn’t come without nerves, but she is trying to be cooler, confident, and composed. Yesterday, she made a quick stop in Brooklyn for Charli XCX’s concert, even doing the Apple dance for all of Barclays Center before she locked in today to focus on all things Met. (On her mental checklist during glam: thinking about all the poses she could possibly do on the red carpet.)

Tonight the singer wears a suit, a stark difference from the hot LBD that she wore in 2021. She had a few inspirations for this year’s look, chief among them Vaccarello’s affinity for suits. If you recall, the majority of ensembles in his 49-look spring 2025 ready-to-wear show included tailoring—an unexpected turn for a label that normally explores more glamorous, edgy takes on femininity. “I was definitely inspired by the Saint Laurent shows,” Rosé shares. “Anthony has been exploring a lot of suits on women, and I’ve definitely been privileged to wear a lot of his pieces.”
