Romeo Beckham is one “proud” son.
The 22-year-old praised dad David Beckham’s knighthood via his Instagram Stories on Friday.
“So so proud of you 🤍🤍🤍🤍,” he wrote across a sweet picture of he and his father smiling together.
Romeo’s mother, Victoria Beckham, also took to Instagram to gush over her husband, saying she “couldn’t be prouder” of his recognition.
“You’ve always been my knight in shining armour, but now it’s official. Sir @davidbeckham!!! Your dedication to the things that matter most — your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family — has never wavered,” Victoria, 51, wrote in part.
“The way you’ve touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us everyday. But above all else, I’m so, so proud to call you mine. I love you so much.”
David, 50, commented on the post, writing, “I love you all ❤️ @victoriabeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven ❤️.”
David’s knighthood was announced Friday as part of King Charles III’s annual birthday honors list.
The Inter Miami soccer team co-owner was bestowed the honor amid the heated family feud with his eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, and the 26-year-old’s wife, Nicola Peltz.
Sources told us that the couple learned of David’s latest achievement through the media.
“Brooklyn is so happy for his dad as he knows it was something important to him,” one insider said, “but there was no communication and no one from the family reached out.”
Sources further claim that Brooklyn has not been in contact with David and Victoria for quite some time.
Reports of a rift among the Beckhams reached a peak after Brooklyn and Peltz skipped out on both of David’s 50th birthday celebrations earlier this year.
At the time, Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, claimed they skipped David’s celebrity-packed dinner in London because they were expected to attend the Met Gala and had fitting commitments.
Sources said the young couple, who live in Los Angeles, claimed they had to be in New York City for a fitting for Nicola’s outfit ahead of the event on May 5, while David’s dinner was on May 3. But as it turns out, Brooklyn and Nicola did not attend this year’s gala.
Sources previously claimed that the disagreement stemmed, in part, from Romeo’s then-relationship with London-based DJ Kim Turnbull. While reports alleged Brooklyn previously had a romantic connection with her, sources told Page Six that’s simply not true.
Romeo and Turnbull split earlier this month after seven months of dating. Despite the recent change to Romeo’s dating life, the brothers appear to still be on opposing sides.
A source close to Brooklyn and Peltz told Page Six that the couple “didn’t know Romeo and Kim split” because none of them have spoken “in months.”
“Brooklyn told his family he wants no contact and he’s not responding to those that try to connect,” an insider said. “Everyone’s focus should be David Beckham’s great honor.”
