    JEE counselling 2025: Seat allocation begins on June 14 for top engineering institutes

    The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2025 has announced JEE counselling 2025, which will start on June 14, 2025. JoSAA has concluded the registration and choice filling process for admissions to top engineering institutions through JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2025. The application window closed on June 12 at 5 pm via the official portal, josaa.nic.in.

    Eligible candidates will be considered for admission to 127 premier institutions across India, including:

    • 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs)

    • 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs)

    • IIEST Shibpur

    • 26 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs)

    • 46 Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs)

    The counselling process comprises six rounds of seat allocation. The first round results are scheduled to be announced on June 14 at 10 AM. Subsequent rounds will follow, with the final round for IITs released on July 16. The overall process concludes on July 22.

    JEE COUNSELLING 2025: MOCK SEAT ALLOCATION

    Two mock seat allocations were provided during the registration period to help students gauge potential outcomes based on their current preferences. These mock rounds allowed candidates to adjust their choices accordingly before the final seat allocation.

    JEE COUNSELLING 2025: KEY DATES

    • June 14: Round 1 seat allocation (10 AM)

    • June 21: Round 2 results (5 PM)

    • June 28: Round 3 results (5 PM)

    • July 4: Round 4 results (5 PM)

    • July 10: Round 5 results (5 PM)

    • July 16: Final round results for IITs (5 PM)

    JEE COUNSELLING 2025: HOW TO CHECK SEAT ALLOTMENT

    Candidates can check their seat allotment results by logging into the official JoSAA portal using their JEE Main application number and password.

    Foreign nationals and OCI/PIO candidates who didn’t appear for JEE Main are required to log in using their JEE Advanced 2025 direct registration credentials.

    JEE COUNSELLING 2025: SEAT ACCEPTANCE AND WITHDRAWAL

    Candidates who wish to withdraw after accepting a seat can do so until the end of the fifth round’s seat acceptance window. A fee of Rs 250 is required to be paid by candidates for the counselling process.

    Ensuring timely login, monitoring seat allotments, and preparing for document verification and fee payments will help aspirants navigate the process smoothly and secure their desired courses and institutions.
