Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are the evergreen power couple of the Bollywood film industry. Abhishek and Shweta Bachchan, the kids of Amitabh and Jaya, may not have had that stardom like their parents, but they are considered equal in the eyes of both veteran stars. Amitabh has no discrimination between his two kids, and an old statement related to who would inherit his entire Rs. 1,600 crore property went viral on social media. The report by The Times Of India had stated that Big B has Rs. 1,600 crore net worth as per 2024.

Amitabh Bachchan’s statement of distributing his Rs. 1,600 crore property amid Abhishek and Shweta Bachchan Nanda goes viral

It was in 2007 when Abhishek got married to Aishwarya. There was a buzz earlier doing the rounds that the couple was heading for a separation. Now, many clips from the Bachchan family have gone viral, and one such was about Big B’s statement from an interview in 2011. In the talk, he revealed how he would equally distribute his property between his two kids, Abhishek and Shweta Bachchan Nanda. This means that Aishwarya, wife of Abhishek, also has equal rights over the property inheritance. Big B had once shared:

“When I die, whatever little I have will be equally divided between my daughter and my son — there is no differentiation. Jaya and I decided on that a long time ago. Everybody says that the girl is paraya dhan, she goes to her husband’s house, but in my eyes, she is our daughter; she has the same rights Abhishek has.”

When Amitabh Bachchan spoke about his bond with Abhishek Bachchan

Going ahead in the interview, Amitabh had also spoken about his bond with Junior Bachchan. Big B shared that Abhishek is like his friend, and the actor had decided a long time back that if he had a son, he would be his friend and not just his son. It has also been discussed that Bachchan’s iconic bungalow, Jalsa, has been presented as a gift to Shweta and is valued at around Rs. 50 crore. Amitabh had revealed:

“And the day he started wearing my shoes, he became my friend. So now, I treat him as a friend. I very rarely look upon him as a son. I am concerned about him as a father, I look after him as a father, and I advise him as a father, but when we talk, we talk as friends.”

Amitabh Bachchan is the fourth richest Bollywood actor

Big B and his full family had recently hogged the limelight after being called the fourth richest Bollywood entity by a report released by the Hurun India Rich List 2024. Apart from a staggering net worth of Rs. 1,600, Big B has yet not commented on the ranking. It has come as a surprise that Amitabh’s family has been ranked among the top five richest Bollywood families. The actor and his family in the past have also hogged the limelight for acquiring a lot of properties. Amitabh is called Bollywood’s Shahenshah. He has had an illustrious, phenomenal career since the past five years and has been known for his iconic movies like Zanjeer, Deewar, Sholay, Coolie to name a few. It was in these films that the legendary actor showed his acting prowess on the big screen.
