Raja Raghuvanshi got married to Sonam Raghuvanshi, on May 11, 2025. What looked like a new beginning for him and his family turned tragic as on their honeymoon trip, Raja was found dead, and Sonam was found in Ghaziabad. The couple was on honeymoon to Meghalaya when they went missing, after which a police complaint was filed. A few days later, Raja’s body was found with the weapon used to kill him.
Raja Raghuvanshi’s autopsy report
According to a report by NDTV, Raja Raghuvanshi’s autopsy report revealed that he was hit on the head with a sharp cutting object. He was hit in the back and the front of the head while he was on a honeymoon trip with his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi. For the unversed, Raja was an Indore-based businessman who passed away after the brutal attack.
According to the latest report, it was planned by his wife, Sonam and her beau, Raj Khushwaha, along with other alliances. The case has left everyone in shock across the country. New revelations state that Sonam is the prime accused in her husband’s murder. Her lover is suspected to be the mastermind of the plot.

Well, the post-wedding celebration at Raja’s home turned into tears and howls after the couple went missing in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills on May 23, 2025. They were on their honeymoon, later, a man’s body was recovered from a gorge on June 2, 2025. However, his wife wasn’t found then. The reports claim that the couple was last seen by the tourist guide in Mawlakhiat. They were accompanied with three men at around 10 a.m. They were heading towards a 3,000-step route to Nogriat, which is a tourist spot. The guide offered to take them, but they refused and hired another guide on the same day, they went missing.
Sonam Raghuvanshi’s father requested a CBI probe
Sonam’s father supported his daughter and claimed that it was the Meghalaya police who were forcing her to take the blame on herself. He added that the police had not investigated the matter, and he requested a CBI probe as the police’s involvement is there in the case. He said:
“Mereko Sonam ka pata Govind se chala hai. Uska phone aaya tha ki Sonam apne ko mil gayi hai. Toh Ghaziabad koi hotel thi waha par, hotel wale se phone laga kar uske bhai ko bulaya. Uske bhai se baat hui hai phone par, iske baad subah 5 baje humko pata chala hai.”
The father further added that he wasn’t able to talk to his daughter, Sonam, but her husband’s brother had gone there. He further revealed that it was an arranged marriage. They had booked a garden for the couple. The family was happy with their union, and so were the kids. The father also stated that his daughter worked in an office and would go with her brother, and she didn’t have any affairs.
The father revealed that Sonam called her brother, Govind, late in the night at 2. She video-called him and asked him to save her. Soon, Govind called the police station, and they took Sonam into custody. He stated that the police were trying to make false allegations against her.
