Reports doing the rounds have revealed that the duo have already started shooting. The buzz related to Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 is high as it was one of the cult classic serials. Now, a video has gone viral, in which Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay were seen entering the residence of Ekta Kapoor.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi was a favourite serial of all the 90s kids. Reports doing the rounds suggest that the original cast that had Smriti, Amar, along with Mouni Roy and Karishma Tanna, would be seen in the serial. Karishma and Mouni reportedly will be making cameo appearances. However, it was on June 8 2025, when Smriti and Amar were seen entering Ekta Kapoor’s residence. Amar had worn a white shirt with beige-hued jeans while Smriti had worn a black salwar kameez with a red dupatta and specs. Amar looked at the paparazzi and posed while on the other side, Smriti walked in a hurry inside Ekta’s office, turned and then smiled at the camera.

A report by News 18 reveals that the new season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 would be a short series and would only have 150 episodes. Fans seeing Smriti and Amar at Ekta’s office went crazy. One user wrote, “Fantastic and nostalgic to see old starcast in main leads of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 1.” One user commented, “Amar looks hot and so young.” There were others in the comments section who wrote ‘congratulations’!
Smriti Irani to have Z-plus security during the shooting of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2?
The production team of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 is taking things pretty seriously. The phones of the starcast, which also include Smriti Irani, Amar Upadhyay, and Ekta Kapoor, are under observation, and Smriti is expected to have Z plus security during the shoot. Mouni Roy and Karishma Tanna, who were in the cameos of the original serial, will also shoot a promo for the new season. The makers of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 have not yet given an official statement or confirmation related to the same. According to a Pinkvilla report, in the reboot version, the iconic song where Tulsi goes around in the entire house and introduces her full family will be reshot in the same locale.
