There is always something new in fashion. On June 4, 1974, WWD explored what was new and in demand in Rio de Janeiro, calling attention to the next voices on the Brazilian fashion scene. As WWD noted, they “were bored with the Rich Life,” and began creating clothing, linens, and lingerie while respecting the craftsmanship that was often absent from the Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo fashion markets. Among them was South American designer Zuzu Angel, an already established name among American celebrities and retailers at the time.
