Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins denied having any bad blood after rumors swirled that the “White Lotus” co-stars had a falling out.
“There is no feud,” Goggins told Variety in a joint interview with Wood, published Wednesday.
“I adore, I love this woman madly, and she is so important to me,” he added, while getting emotional.
At one point in the interview, Goggins reportedly turned to Wood and compared her to revered actresses like Goldie Hawn and Meg Ryan.
“She can do anything, and she will,” he gushed. “You watch what the next 20 years of her experience will be. I’ll be on an island, I think Greece. But she’s special.”
He then doubled down on his assertion that “there is no feud” between the two.
“She is love and I know that I am that to her. We care about each other very deeply,” he shared.
Wood, for her part, addressed the reason why they don’t follow each other on Instagram.
“I think it’s such a comment on where we’re at culturally. Why is everyone obsessing over Instagram?” Wood said. “That is irrelevant. We don’t give a shite about Instagram.”
She then suggested that her fans should care less about their internet history and more about the characters they portrayed on Season 3 of the HBO show. Wood and Goggins played on-screen love interests Chelsea and Rick, respectively.
“Why not have conversations about the story and Rick and Chelsea and enjoy it?” she asked.
While she wanted to address feud rumors head-on, she knew her words would just get misconstrued.
“Eventually I just started to sit back and watch these people making something out of absolutely nothing,” she recalled.
Goggins jumped in to put the feud rumors “to bed” even further, explaining that he is a “grown-ass man.”
“My catharsis in this experience was different than other people’s, because of my history in this place. I knew what we had gone through, and I knew how close that we had gotten, and I needed to begin to process saying goodbye to Rick and Chelsea,” Goggins said, as his eyes teared up.
“And I knew that that was going to take a while for me, so I let her know, ‘This is what I’ve gotta do.’ And she was extremely supportive about that.”
Goggins chalked up his Instagram unfollow as him bidding farewell to his beloved character, calling the feud rumors “all so ridiculous.”
“It’s just a part of me just saying goodbye to this character, so that now Aimee and I will be friends for f–king ever,” he reiterated.
Wood reportedly gave Goggins a hug at that moment in the interview, reassuring him that she “completely understand[s]” his reasoning.
“I love you,” he said in response to the affectionate moment. “I’m emotional because we haven’t been in the same city to ever talk about this. So, for me, this is just so wonderful.”
Feud rumors between Goggins, 53, and Wood, 31, first surfaced in April after fans noticed that the co-stars weren’t following each other on Instagram.
Goggins later shut down the rumors, telling a reporter that suggested they were fighting, “What the f–k … come on, buddy. Wow.”
Wood also addressed the gossip, telling reporters at the 2025 Met Gala in May that she “loved working” with Goggins.
