Law enforcement officers discovered a body near a charred vehicle outside the clinic, later identified as Bartkus.Authorities continue to investigate Bartkus’s motives, including why he selected this specific location, and whether his death was an intentional part of the attack. The targeted clinic offers a range of fertility services, including in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and reproductive health assessments.Searches conducted at Bartkus’s home in Twentynine Palms, a desert town with a notable Marine Corps base, have so far not revealed the origin of the explosives used.
