Television actor Shoaib Ibrahim shared a recent health update about his actress wife, Dipika Kakar. Diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer, Dipika underwent surgery on Tuesday, June 3. Shoaib posted on his Instagram stories that despite the lengthy 14-hour procedure, the surgery was successful. He added that Dipika is now in the ICU, experiencing some pain, but her condition is stable.

He wrote, “Hi everyone, sorry I couldn’t update you last night, it was a long surgery. She was in OT for 14 hours. But Alhamdulillah, everything went well. Dipi is currently in the ICU. She’s in some pain but she’s stable and doing okay. Thank you all dil se for your love, prayers and support. It truly means a lot. I will update you all once she’s out of the ICU. Thank you once again. Keep praying for her.”
Last month, Dipika opened up about her fight with stage 2 liver cancer. The television actress, famous for her role in Sasural Simar Ka, shared the difficult news in an emotional Instagram post. After experiencing severe stomach pain, doctors found a tumour “the size of a tennis ball” in her liver, which was later diagnosed as cancer.
Dipika shared, “As you all are aware last few weeks have been quite difficult for us… walking into the hospital for a pain in the upper area of my stomach… and then finding out its a tennis ball size tumour in the liver and then Finding out that the tumour is Second stage Malignant (Cancerous) … it has been one of the most difficult time we have seen, experienced!”
She added, “I am all positive and determined to face this and walk out stronger Insha Allah! With my entire family being by my side … and All the LOVE and PRAYERS pouring in from all of you I will sail through this too!”
Since then, Shoaib has been regularly updating fans about Dipika’s health on social media. Recently, he posted an emotional video on their YouTube channel, describing this as “the toughest phase” of their lives while staying hopeful about her recovery. “Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, the scan report was clear. The cancer cells haven’t spread to other parts of the body. Everything is confined to the tumour, and once it’s surgically removed, Insha Allah, things will improve,” he shared.
