France’s Lois Boisson will be the name in focus as the quarterfinals of the French Open 2025 go into the second day. The 22-year-old Boisson had stunned the United States’ Jessica Pegula in the Round, thereby becoming the lowest-ranked player in 40 years to reach the Roland Garros quarters.

Boisson has a big task in hand as she will face 18-year-old Mirra Andreeva, who became the youngest player to reach back-to-back French Open quarterfinals in nearly three decades after beating 17th seed Daria Kasatkina 6-3, 7-5. The clash between Boisson and Andreeva is the second match on Centre Court.

In the first on Wednesday at Court Philippe-Chatrier, reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys will be up against her American compatriot Coco Gauff.

World No.1 Jannik Sinner will look for a semi-final berth when he faces Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik in the third match on Centre Court. World No.62 Bublik became the first man from Kazakhstan to reach a Grand Slam singles quarter-final after beating fifth seed Jack Draper in four sets.

The last match of the day on Centre Court is between Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev. The duo met earlier this year at Melbourne Park, where the 38-year-old Djokovic had to retire midway from the semi-final.
