SC has formed a three-member committee to address niggling issues of rising encroachments, pilgrims and mining at Ranthambore Tiger Reserve (RTR) in Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur SC also. halted all mining activities inside the core area of the reserve, and any illegal mining inside the park area. “State govt shall ensure there is no violation and submit a detailed affidavit within six weeks enumerating the steps taken to implement mining prohibition,” SC said in its May 30 order.
