    Kylian Mbappe, David Beckham congratulate PSG after 1st Champions League win

    Kylian Mbappe and David Beckham led the way with praises for Paris Saint-Germain after they thrashed Inter Milan to 5-0 to win the UEFA Champions League title in Munich on Saturday, May 31. PSG won the title in style with a fantastic performance as they secured the biggest margin of victory in a Champions League final.

    Desire Doue was the star of the show with a brace and an assist and Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu sealed a five-star performance in Munich on Saturday. Mbappe, who left for Real Madrid at the start of the 2024-25 season, is the highest goalscorer for PSG and he sent out a message right after the win. The French captain said that the big day finally arrived for PSG and it came in style.

    “Le grand jour est enfin arriv, La victoire et avec la manire de tout un club, Flicitations PSG (The big day has finally arrived, Victory and in the style of an entire club, Congratulations PSG),” wrote Mbappe on his Instagram story.

    Beckham, who ended his career with PSG, was present in Munich to watch the final and celebrated the win.

    “History made. Congratulations @PSG WOW what an incredible game,” said Beckham on Instagram.

    Thiago Silva and Lucas Moura also congratulated PSG after the win on X.

    How PSG thrashed Inter Milan

    PSG were on the front foot from the get-go and put the early pressure on Inter. The Italian side struggle to cope up with the pressure from Paris and Hakimi scored the first goal in the 12th minute. Doue doubled the lead eight minutes later.

    PSG continued to dominate and Doue made it 3-0 in the 63rd minute before Kvaratskhelia put the game to bed with a goal 10 minutes later. Mayulu added the finishing touches to the win in the 86th minute as PSG lifted their first UCL title.
