Bollywood actress Sonia Rathee is set to take center court at the highly anticipated BUDX NBA House 3v3 Celebrity Game, happening on June 7 at Dome, SVP Stadium, Mumbai. Organized by the National Basketball Association (NBA) in collaboration with Budweiser, the event marks the inaugural BUDX NBA House in India, celebrating the fusion of sport, music, and pop culture like never before.

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama, she said, “It’s absolutely surreal, I’m getting to play with absolute legends and friends. I grew up watching the NBA and it’s just amazing that I’m able to participate in an NBA house game. Especially getting to be there with my brother who’s an even bigger fan than I am, I’m just very excited, I hope I’m good enough to shoot some 3 pointers under pressure!”

Sonia Rathee, recently seen in Kapkapii, brings a lively presence both on and off screen. She’s now taking on a new challenge—joining the basketball court as part of Team Fisher, coached by five-time NBA champion Derek Fisher. The team is captained by ACG Managing Director Karan Singh and includes Badshah, Arvind Krishna, Varun Sood, Simran Kaur, and Harman Singha. Facing them is Team Payton, led by NBA Hall of Famer Gary Payton, with a strong lineup that features Disha Patani, Melvin Louis, Rannvijay Singha, Shireen Limaye, Dhruv Barman, actor Ankur Rathee—Sonia’s brother—and entrepreneur Anand S Ahuja as captain.
