    The Kerala Story 2 box office Day 3: Film crosses Rs 10 crore in opening weekend


    The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond has crossed the Rs 10 crore mark at the domestic box office by the end of its first weekend. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film showed steady growth over Saturday and Sunday, helping it post a respectable total in its opening three days.

    According to early estimates by trade website Sacnilk, the film saw a slight jump in collections on Sunday due to improved weekend footfalls.

    The film opened with Rs 0.75 crore nett on Day 1. It witnessed a significant jump on Day 2, earning Rs 4.65 crore nett. As per Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 5 crore nett on Day 3 (first Sunday), taking its total first weekend box office collection to Rs 10.40 crore.

    Backed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film focuses on the issue of alleged interfaith marriages where young Hindu women are shown facing abuse and forced religious conversion. The subject sparked debate and controversy soon after the trailer was released.

    The trailer follows the stories of three Hindu women from different parts of the country who choose to marry Muslim men against their families’ wishes.

    The film stars Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, Aishwarya Ojha, Sumit Gahlawat and Arjan Singh Aujla in key roles. It was released in theatres on February 27, 2026.
