A 21-year-old YouTuber and a college student, Bonu Komali, was found dead at her rented flat in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The revelation happened after her mother received a text from her daughter wherein the latter expressed affection, thus triggering concern. After several of her calls to Komali went unanswered, the mother – who is employed in Kuwait – alerted the YouTuber’s friends.and asked them to check on her.
Komali’s friends visited her flat in Hyderabad’s Manikonda but found the door locked from inside. They immediately informed the police, who arrived and broke into the place to find the 21-year-old dead.
A native of Andhra Pradesh’s Vishakhapatnam, Komali had been residing in Hyderabad while pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree. She was also a YouTuber where she posted lifestyle-related content.
Preliminary inquiry suggested that the 21-year-old had been in emotional distress in recent months.
Policer have shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem examination. They are examining her mobile phone data, call records, and social media activity as part of the investigation. Additionally, statements from her friends and acquaintances are being recorded.
A case of suspicious death has been registered, and an investigation into the matter is underway.
