Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence are now officially in-laws.
The “Beverly Hills Cop” actor revealed that his eldest son, Eric Murphy, and Martin’s oldest daughter, Jasmin Lawrence, secretly got married earlier this month.
“Actually, they got married, like, two weeks ago,” Eddie told his “Dreamgirls” co-star Jennifer Hudson on Thursday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”
“They went off … Everybody was making the big wedding plans, and they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them,” the comedian, 64, added.
The dad of 10 confirmed that he and the “Martin” alum, 60, are now related by marriage.
“Yeah, we’re in-laws,” he confirmed.
“And he doesn’t have to pay for that big wedding now,” Eddie joked, after previously joking that Martin should pick up the tab for the nuptials.
When Hudson asked Eddie if he sang at the ceremony, he replied that Eric and Jasmin didn’t have one.
“They went off and they got married at the church,” he said. “They just had the two of them and the preacher. They had a quiet little thing. So, I think we’ll have like a big party or something.”
Last December, Eric, 35, and Jasmin, 29, announced that they were engaged after three years of dating.
“11.27.2024. We’re engaged!!” they captioned an Instagram clip of the moment Eric popped the question.
“God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter ❤️❤️. Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so beautiful!!”
The couple first revealed they were dating in the summer of 2021 when Jasmin shared a sweet birthday post to her “love” on Instagram.
