Thus far, some of the most sought-after styles from Nike’s remastered Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble releases have been original-styled gray gradient colorways. Familiar looks like the Neon, Pink Foam and Bright Mandarin were among 2025’s most coveted pairs and now, Nike Sportswear is using the classic formula for all-new releases.
The Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble was released last week in a brand-new Photon Dust/Dark Raisin/Pencil Point/Sapphire color combination and surprisingly, select sizes are still available from the brand’s e-commerce store. This unique colorway uses the model’s dark-to-light gradient fade concept, but updates it with new colors.
The style’s bottommost overlay is colored in a subtle Dark Raisin shade which replaces the darker black that’s traditionally seen on Air Max 95 gradient styles. The remainder of the synthetic suede overlays feature a more typical gray fade, but the key color on this pair is its brighter hits of Sapphire on the lace loops, Air units and outsole. A closer look at the midsole also reveals it uses a dark gray Pencil Point shade instead of the more common black foam setup.

Last year, Nike released a remastered version of the Air Max 95 which was intended to look and feel like the original version from 1995. In the years since its mid-‘90s debut, the Air Max 95’s Air bubbles had grown increasingly smaller, a byproduct of decades of factory changes and material shifts. For the sneaker’s 30th anniversary return in 2025, Nike went all-out to produce a reissue that was closer to the version that fans clamored for.
While this Sapphire look isn’t an original Air Max 95 style, it’s a more-than-suitable option for those who have been unable to buy some of the model’s more limited releases, but it likely won’t remain in stock for long.
