ODI legends Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were felicitated by the Baroda Cricket Association during India’s 1st ODI match against New Zealand on Sunday, January 11. Playing at the Kotambi Stadium, which was hosting its first men’s ODI match, the two legends were given flower bouquets at the mid-innings break as a mark of respect.
The little ceremony caught the attention of cricket fans for the hilarious manner in which it was carried out. In the presence of ICC president Jay Shah and BCCI head Mithun Manhas, the Baroda Cricket Association arranged a cupboard with life-size stickers of Rohit and Kohli. The duo were put inside the cupboard and brought out when their names were called during the mid-innings break.
