After long being dormant, but not technically disbanded, Grizzly Bear have returned. The beloved indie-rock band has announced its first North American headlining tour in six years. Check out the full list of tour dates below.

“Because Grizzly Bear never broke up, their first shows in six years are not a reunion,” reads a press release sharing the news. “They are a simultaneous point of arrival and departure, their next destination still unknown.”

Spanning just seven concerts in total, Grizzly Bear’s upcoming tour begins on October 13, in Brooklyn, New York, with a three-night residency at Brooklyn Steel. Singer-guitarist Ed Droste, singer-guitarist Daniel Rossen, multi-instrumentalist Chris Taylor, and drummer Chris Bear will then head to Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, before concluding the short tour on November 19, in Oakland, California.

In the eight years since Grizzly Bear released their fifth album, 2017’s Painted Ruins, all four members of the band have stayed busy. Droste enrolled in graduate school for psychology and became an associate therapist, but still hopped on songs with other artists, including Haerts and Morissey. Rossen released his long-awaited solo debut album, You Belong There, in 2022, and teamed up with Bear to record the soundtrack for the Oscar-nominated movie Past Lives. Bear also contributed drums to Fleet Foxes’ album Shore and recorded music under his solo project Fools. As for Taylor, he produced dozens of records over the past few years, including works by Beth Orton, Clark, Tourist, and Aaron Parks, among others.
