A threatening email warning of a bomb attack was received by the Ahmedabad Rural Court on Monday morning. The court is located near the Income Tax office in the Navrangpura police station area.
Police swung into action after the email came to light in the afternoon. Navrangpura police, along with the bomb disposal squad, dog squad, rushed to the spot and launched a thorough investigation. The cyber crime team was also pressed into action to locate the origin of the email.
As a precautionary measure, all judicial proceedings and administrative work at the Ahmedabad Rural Court have been suspended until further notice. Security agencies are verifying the source and authenticity of the email.
