Bollywood veteran actor, Paresh Rawal’s exit from the Hera Pheri 3 movie has become the talk of the town for some time now. The actor played the cult classic role of ‘Babu Bhaiya’ in the comedy franchise, made the decision on May 18, 2025, to exit the franchise. Now, amid the Hera Pheri 3 row, Paresh has lately opened up about how he has a strong friendship with Akshay Kumar.
Paresh Rawal reveals how he is good friends with Akshay Kumar
Paresh’s exit from the Hera Pheri 3 film has turned into a huge controversy. Akshay did not have a choice but to take legal action against the actor. Now, on the other hand, Paresh recently sat for a chat with Siddharth Kanan and was asked what was the foundation of his and Akshay’s friendship. The actor revealed that Akshay is disciplined, honest with his work and between both of them, there was no seed of insecurity. The actor noted:
“There is no insecurity number one. Mujhe pata hai woh joh karta hai mei nai kar sakta hu. Woh joh jiss qism ka action karta hai, he is a good-looking guy. He is extremely hardworking, honest. Mei industry. Kabhi uska hidden agenda nai hota hai. Aap as a producer usko sign karne jaoge, sab paper pe. Woh kaam ke mamle mei absolutely honest hai. Integrity kamal ki hai. Dusri baat as a human being achi lagti hai family man hai yaar.”

Akshay’s lawyer, on the other hand, had given a warning to Paresh of the dire legal consequences. In an earlier interview with the PTI, the Joint Managing Partner of Parinam Law Associate, who is representing Akshay’s production house, Cape of Good Films, said:
“It’s of course hurt the franchise. We have written to him letting him know that there are a lot of legal consequences involved. There have been expenses incurred towards the cast, towards the crew, towards leading senior actors, logistics equipment, shooting of the trailer.”
Akshay’s lawyer had also stated that Paresh, via a social media post, had revealed his involvement in the Hera Pheri 3 franchise, and hence, there were contracts that were entered into for the shooting of the trailer. There have been portions of three and a half minutes of the movie that have been shot, and a few days back, Paresh sent a notice saying he would not be associated with the comedy movie. Everyone has been shocked by Paresh’s uncalled exit.
Legal dispute between Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal
Paresh and Akshay’s production house, Cape of Good Films is now in a legal controversy as the production house reportedly filed Rs. 25 crore lawsuit against the actor. At the moment, only a promo of the movie was completed which was shot on the set of Bhoot Bangla with the movie’s crew. The audiences have been disappointed, apart from the reputational damage that has taken place. However, everyone is being optimistic that things can work out but as of now legal issues are being bared. Now, as per a latest report by the Bollywood Hungama, Paresh has returned the signing amount of Rs. 11 lakh with 15% p.a interest.
