A new book-to-screen thriller is coming to Apple TV. The streamer officially announced a premiere date and more information about the upcoming series Imperfect Women, based on the book of the same name by Araminta Hall and created for television by Annie Weisman.

When does Imperfect Women premiere?
The first two episodes of Imperfect Women will premiere on Apple TV on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Episodes will then air weekly until the finale on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. There are eight episodes total in the series.
Who is in the Imperfect Women cast?
Kerry Washington and Elisabeth Moss star in the show as Mary and Eleanor, respectively. They’re also both executive producers in the series.
Other cast members include Kate Mara (Nancy), Joel Kinnaman (Robert), Corey Stoll (Howard), Leslie Odom Jr. (Donovan), Sadrine Holt (Jenny), Rome Flynn (Jordan), Ana Ortiz (Detective Ganz), Sherri Saum (Zoe), Wilson Bethel (Scott), Keith Carradine (RL Hennessy), and Jackson Kelly (Marcus), as well as Audrey Zahn, Jill Wagner, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Violette Linnz, Indiana Elle, and Wilson Bethel.
What is Imperfect Women about?
Per a press release from Apple TV, Imperfect Women “examines a crime that shatters the lives of a decades-long friendship of three women. The unconventional thriller explores guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the compromises we make that alter our lives irrevocably. As the investigation unravels, so does the truth about how even the closest friendships may not be what they seem.”
According to the description of Hall’s book, “When Nancy Hennessy is murdered, she leaves behind two best friends, an adoring husband and daughter, and a secret lover whose identity she took to the grave.” Nancy’s life on the outside was “perfect,” but the investigation into her death helps her friends Eleanor and Mary realize “how little they knew their friend, each other, and maybe themselves.”
The book is told through the perspectives of each of the three women as the story inches toward figuring out who killed Nancy.
