Triptii Dimri is currently one of the most talked about actresses among all the emerging Bollywood divas. Starting her career as an outsider, working as an extra on set to performing as the lead actress in movies of Imtiaz Ali and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, she has come a long way. Though this path was laden with ups and downs, Triptii has proved her mettle through each and every one of her performances.

Now, this newcomer has replaced one of Bollywood’s most popular and bankable actresses, Deepika Padukone. Buzz is rife in the air that Sandeep Reddy Vanga has cast Triptii in his upcoming movie, Spirit, after ousting Deepika from the role. Amid this, reports of the Qala actress increasing her fee have grabbed headlines. Triptii has reportedly increased her charges after Animal‘s blockbuster success.

Triptii Dimri started her acting career as an extra in Sridevi’s Mom

Triptii Dimri first made her Bollywood appearance with the late actress, Sridevi’s last film, Mom. The film was released in 2017 and also featured Pakistani actress, Sajal Aly in the pivotal role of ‘Arya’. Triptii played the role of ‘Arya’s classmate. The actress had a small role and was on the screen for mere minutes. However, after this film, Triptii went on to star in the lead role in Shreyas Talpade’s Poster Boys

Triptii Dimri’s Laila Majnu was a flop initially, and now she charges more per film than this movie’s box office collection

Bollywood director, Imtiaz Ali had made the film, Laila Majnu with newcomers Avinash Tiwary and Triptii Dimri. The film was made with a budget of Rs. 10 crore. However, it only earned somewhere between Rs. 2-3 crores after its original release. It was declared a commercial flop, reported Koimoi. But a few years after its release, the songs went viral on social media, and as more and more people saw the film on OTT platforms, Laila Majnu gained a cult classic status. It was also released in the theatres and was able to cover the budget with the new earnings. But the most interesting part is that Triptii Dimri gained such success after Laila Majnu that she now charges more per film than the entire box office collection of this movie’s original release, which was Rs. 2-3 crores.

Triptii Dimri was on screen for only 30 minutes in Animal, but it exponentially increased her star value

After proving her mettle as an actress in films such as Bulbul and Qala, Triptii Dimri was cast in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. She played the role of ‘Zoya Riaz’ in the movie and was part of the supporting cast, not the main. The character was on screen for only about thirty minutes, but Triptii became a sensation overnight due to her sensuous looks in the film. Some even claim that she overshadowed Rashmika Mandanna, the female lead of Animal. As per reports, Triptii charged Rs. 40 lakhs for the role. But her newfound popularity after this movie opened a lot of doors for her.

Triptii Dimri charged double the amount she got in Animal for her next film

Soon after Animal, Triptii Dimri starred in Bad Newz opposite Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk. The film was a spiritual sequel to Good Newz, and was declared a commercial success despite mixed reviews from the audience. As per NDTV, the actress charged Rs. 80 lakhs for her role as the female lead in the movie. Given the increasing demand for the actress in the film industry, Triptii doubled her fee for Bad Newz. However, reportedly she increased her fees again for her next film after the commercial success of this movie.

Triptii Dimri reportedly took home Rs. 6 crores for her next film

As per NDTV reports, after Bad Newz, Triptii Dimri hiked her fees to Rs. 6 crores. A look at the actress’ filmography reveals Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video to be her next film after Bad Newz, but there is no information regarding actors’ fees for the movie. Reports also suggest that after Rs. 6 crores, the actress increased her fees again, due to her growing success in the industry.

Triptii Dimri’s last known fee charge per film is Rs. 10 crores

Given her increasing popularity and demand, Triptii Dimri’s fees keep fluctuating with each film she does. Initially, it was reported that she was charging Rs. 6 crores per movie, but then NDTV reported that the actress had increased her fees again and was now demanding Rs. 10 crores per film. It is also to be noted that the actress has gone from Rs. 40 lakhs earned in Animal in 2024 to reportedly charging Rs. 10 crores per film, just within a year. As per sources, Triptii is also paid more than her contemporary rival Janhvi Kapoor who was paid Rs. 5 crore for her last film Devara, as reported by The Indian Express.
