Tamannaah Bhatia is all set to headline a refreshing new OTT series titled Daring Partners, where she stars alongside Diana Penty. The show revolves around two women navigating the challenges of establishing themselves in the alcohol business — a field largely dominated by men. In a recent interview with Mid-Day, Tamannaah shed light on what sets Daring Partners apart in the current OTT landscape. “While it is in the fun and entertaining space, it still has a strong emotional connect. Back in the day, sitcoms had a different charm. I have not seen much of that in the OTT space. The content has either become too serious or too frivolous. This show will potentially fill that void where you are entertained as well as moved by something,” she shared.
Tamannaah, who has worked across multiple industries since her teenage years, believes the show will present a never-before-seen side of her. “I’ve been in front of the camera since I was 15. People have seen me grow —from a teenager to a woman in her 30s. Now I feel like I finally get to show them a version of me they’ve never seen before,” she said.
The actress also touched upon the portrayal of female strength in media, adding that Daring Partners will steer clear of stereotypes. “There are many different types of strong women, however even that has become typecast. The show will give the audience a very real sneak peek into strong women in a working environment, dealing with life and preconceived notions. It is going to be an authentic presentation of that,” she emphasized.
Along with Tamannaah and Diana, the series will also feature Jaaved Jaferi and Nakuul Mehta in significant roles, promising a dynamic and diverse ensemble. With the actress insisting on the mix of humor, emotional resonance, and realistic portrayals of women in unconventional roles that fans can look forward to, Daring Partners it seems has piqued the interest of many.
