ABC News has announced a one-hour TV special airing tonight that offers the latest details into the death of director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner. Titled The Rob Reiner Story: A Hollywood Tragedy, the news special airs tonight, Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 10 p.m. PT/ET, on ABC.

The Rob Reiner special will be available to watch on TV through your local ABC affiliate. You can also livestream the program on streaming services that carry the network, including DirecTV (with a five-day free trial period), Fubo (with a seven-day free trial here), Sling and Hulu + Live TV. The Rob Reiner Story will also be available to watch on demand the following day, Wednesday, Dec. 17, on Disney+ and Hulu.

According to ABC, “the one-hour special tells the story of the life of the beloved director, producer and actor and his wife, a photographer, producer and writer known for her work in documentary and political activism. The special provides a detailed look at the investigation into the killings and the impact Reiner had on television and film history, from his starring roles in All in the Family to directing hits such as This Is Spinal Tap, A Few Good Men and When Harry Met Sally.”

The Rob Reiner Story: A Hollywood Tragedy will also examine the latest on the arrest of Nick Reiner, the couple’s 32-year old son, who is currently being held without bail as the Los Angeles Police Department declares he’s “responsible” for the homicide death of his parents. In 2015, Nick co-wrote Being Charlie, a semi-autobiographical film about his journey with addiction and homelessness, directed by his father.

The special will include interviews with Corey Feldman, star of Reiner’s film Stand By Me, along with reporting from ABC News contributor Chris Connelly and ABC News contributor and journalist Larry Hackett. It is produced by ABC News Studios, where Muriel Pearson serves as executive producer, and David Sloan is senior executive producer.
