The journey of Metro In Dino has officially begun with the release of the song teaser for ‘Zamaana Lage’. This marks the first glimpse into Anurag Basu’s upcoming musical drama and also introduces the ensemble cast of the film. The full song will be released on May 28, kicking off the soundtrack of the film, which is scheduled to release in cinemas on July 4, 2025.

The teaser of ‘Zamaana Lage’ offers a first look at the world of Metro In Dino, the final installment in Anurag Basu’s trilogy of hyperlinked narratives that began with Life in a Metro and continued with Ludo. Produced by Bhushan Kumar under T-Series in association with Anurag Basu Productions Pvt. Ltd., the film explores interwoven stories of love, loneliness, and emotional complexity in contemporary urban India.
‘Zamaana Lage’ is composed by Pritam and brings back the creative collaboration between him and director Anurag Basu, known for crafting memorable musical narratives. The song features vocals by Arijit Singh and Shashwat Singh and draws inspiration from poet Qaisar Ul Jafri’s evocative line, “Tumhaare sheher ka mausam bada suhana lage.” Additional lyrics are penned by Sandeep Shrivastava.
Speaking about the song, music director Pritam said, “With Qaisar Ul Jafri’s timeless poetry, we wanted to revive the ghazal as a form — not as nostalgia, but as something emotionally alive and relevant today. A ghazal can be modern in its arrangement while retaining its poetic soul.”
The teaser also offers the first on-screen glimpse of the film’s diverse cast, including Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta, and Saswata Chatterjee. Their brief appearances hint at the emotional journeys and interlinked stories that Metro In Dino aims to tell.
With its modern reinterpretation of the ghazal and its ensemble-driven narrative, Metro In Dino is shaping up to be a contemporary take on urban relationships.
