India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal compared former India captain Rohit Sharma to Ranveer Singh’s movie Dhurandhar. Speaking at the Agenda AajTak summit, Jaiswal spoke about the senior India player with a lot of affection and hinted that Rohit carries plenty of power and personality beneath his easy-going appearance.
Jaiswal, who made his India debut under Rohit’s captaincy, has done incredibly well for himself in the national team. He is a settled member of the Test side and is now pushing his case in the ODI team as well. The left hander has always shared a good relationship with the Indian captain and is one of Rohit’s famed garden me ghoomne vaaley boys.
On Wednesday, December 10, Jaiswal was given a set of movie titles and was asked to name an Indian cricketer who resembled each film. When he heard the name of Ranveer Singh’s latest release, Dhurandhar, Jaiswal immediately responded with Rohit Sharma.
The next movie title given to him was Baahubali. Jaiswal took a moment to think and then named Yuzvendra Chahal. While many initially thought he was teasing Chahal because of his slight build, Jaiswal reminded everyone that the leg spinner is incredibly strong from a mental point of view.
