Veteran actress Helen has shown that age truly doesn’t matter. At 85 years old, she impressed fans with a new video demonstrating her excellent pilates skills. The clip was posted by her fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala, earning Helen widespread praise from social media users.

On Thursday, Yasmin Karachiwala posted a video montage on Instagram showing Helen training with her. She wrote, “At 85, Helen Khan is accomplishing feats that many wouldn’t even attempt! From climbing stairs without a cane to trampoline jumps and dancing in Monica Oh My Darling—she’s simply unstoppable. A true testament to how Pilates keeps you youthful.”
The video captures Helen doing all of that and more—arriving at the gym on her own, jumping on the trampoline, and doing various stretches. Toward the end, she even dances a bit to her popular song, Monica Oh My Darling.
Fans and celebrities were amazed by Helen’s fitness at 85. Actor Sophie Choudhry remarked, “This is the cutest video ever!!!!!! Love you Helen aunty…an inspiration for us all!!” Bipasha Basu described her as the ‘cutest inspiration.’ One comment even suggested that today’s Bollywood starlets should learn from her, saying, “Fitter than all of you.”
Numerous other fans found the video inspiring. One wrote, “I don’t think large majority of people in India in this age, group really know how powerful this post is! It’s so important to have life in the years you live, and mobility does just that,” wrote one. Another added, “She is 85 outside and still 16 inside.”
Helen started her career in Hindi cinema as a dancer when she was still a teenager. During the 1960s and 70s, she made a name for herself as a dancer and supporting actress in films such as Gumnaam, Teesri Manzil, Khel Khel Mein, and Don. Although she officially retired from acting in 1983, Helen has occasionally appeared on the big screen in supporting roles in movies like Khamoshi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and Mohabbatein. She is married to screenwriter Salim Khan.
