Julianne Hough’s Slouchy Knee-Highs Bring the Power Boot Trend to ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’

Julianne Hough strutted into “The Jennifer Hudson Show” for Wednesday’s episode, outfitted head to toe in Khaite, which has quickly become one of the dancer’s go-to brands.

The “Dancing With the Stars” host wore a shirt as a dress and added edge to the floral look, pairing it with one of the brand’s most popular boot styles. Hough wore the Khaite Ona knee-high boot to appear on the daytime talk show.

The brand describes the Ona as “the ultimate day boot,” thanks to its relaxed, slouchy, casual appeal. The boot style features an elongated square-toe and is free of closures for pull-on ease. The boot, like many of Khaite‘s shoes, is characterized by its sleek blade heel, which measures 2.2 inches.

The boots are made from a rich and glossy crinkled vegetable-tanned calfskin leather in black and also feature a tonal outsole. The boots are available in brown suede and a tan hyena print hair calf, and all retail for $1,780 on the brand’s website.

The TV personality gave the pantless trend a try for the appearance with the help of Khaite’s Goya top in black. The relaxed floral chiffon button-up was designed with the inspiration of the cutaway collar of men’s shirting. The top is seamed at the sides to accentuate the rounded shape, which dips lower in back.

The shirt features dropped shoulder seams, a back yoke and single-button cuffs. The hem reached right around Hough’s upper thigh, which was left uncovered, turning the shirt into a minidress. The Goya top retails for $1,080 and is available in two other colors.

Hough joined host Jennifer Hudson to reflect on 20 years of the dancing competition show, including the moment that made her emotional on live TV and why this season’s cast feels more competitive than ever. The dancer opened up about feeling ready for motherhood and returning to acting.

Hough has been involved with “Dancing With the Stars” since 2007. She joined as a professional dancer that year and won two seasons with her celebrity partners, then became a judge from 2014 to 2017, and returned as the cohost in 2023.
