Sarah Jessica Parker to Receive 2026 Carol Burnett Award at Golden Globes

Sarah Jessica Parker will receive the 2026 Carol Burnett Award at the Golden Globes, honoring her contributions to television as an actor and producer.

Parker will be celebrated during Golden Eve, a new annual primetime special airing on Jan. 8 on CBS and Paramount+ alongside the presentation of the Cecil B. DeMille Award to Dame Helen Mirren. Golden Eve expands on last year’s Golden Gala, offering in-depth retrospectives on honorees’ careers and special moments from past Golden Globes ceremonies.

Parker is best known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw in “Sex and the City” and its sequel “And Just Like That,” which have earned her six Golden Globes and multiple Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Awards. Her work has influenced representations of women in television and helped shape popular culture. Parker’s television credits also include “Equal Justice,” “Square Pegs,” and “Divorce.” Her company, Pretty Matches Productions, develops projects across genres, including the documentary “And Just Like That… The Documentary” and Bravo’s “Work of Art: The Next Great Artist”.

Parker’s filmography features titles such as “Hocus Pocus,” “The Family Stone,” “Failure to Launch,” “Ed Wood,” and “Mars Attacks!” She remains active in theater, with recent performances in “Plaza Suite” on Broadway and the West End.

Beyond acting, Parker launched the SJP Lit imprint to publish diverse voices, served as Editorial Director for SJP for Hogarth, and executive produced “The Librarians” documentary, premiering at Sundance 2025. She also founded a wine label, launched a signature fragrance, a footwear brand, and serves on boards supporting the arts in New York City.

The Golden Globes continues as the world’s largest awards show for film, television and podcasting. Golden Eve will serve as a marquee kickoff to Golden Week, leading up to the 83rd Golden Globes ceremony on Jan 11. Nikki Glaser will host the broadcast, which will also air live on CBS and Paramount+.
