Fine jeweler Nadine Ghosn has joined Mattel on its 80th anniversary celebration with a Polly Pocket collaboration.
On Wednesday, the global toy company unveiled a new collaboration with Ghosn, featuring statement pieces crafted in 18-karat gold with pink sapphire gemstone detailing. The jeweler developed the nostalgic collection by drawing from her own archive of Polly Pocket dolls.
“Yes, I have many vintage Polly Pockets from my childhood, so I started from that — taking a Polly Pocket from back in the day and being inspired by looks, hair and perfected the bend,” Nadine Ghosn, founder of Nadine Ghosn Fine Jewelry, told WWD. “Once the renderings were perfected, we designed in 3D and played around with it in gold. The version that will be showcased is the 3rd iteration of that process.”

The Polly Pocket x Nadine Ghosn collection is available on nadineghosn.com, and includes multiple charms, necklaces and earrings, each nodding to elements of Polly’s world.
“It has been a year-long creative dialogue and approval process with the Mattel team,” Ghosn said. “Polly Pocket has always symbolized possibility and self-expression in miniature form,” Meredith Norrie, vice president, global consumer products and experiences at Mattel, said in a statement. “This collaboration brings that spirit to life and celebrates Nadine’s distinctive artistry applied to Polly’s legacy.”

Ghosn has become known for her whimsical designs that often blend childhood memories with craftsmanship. In September, the jeweler crafted a limited-edition crayon box in collaboration with Crayola. Other jewels span toothbrushes, pencils, Lego blocks and even wired earphones.
With the rise of childhood nostalgia in fashion over the last year, Polly Pocket has become a popular name among designers. GCDS’ creative director Giuliano Calza teamed with Mattel on a limited-edition collectible toy in July, featuring a pocket-sized version of Milan seen through the doll’s eyes. Lisa Says Gah and Alex and Ani also debuted collections inspired by the doll in 2025.
