At the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City, Lily Allen made a pointed return to the spotlight in an outfit that drew as much attention as her recent album. Just days after the release of her searing divorce album “West End Girl,” the British star arrived in a look from Colleen Allen’s spring 2026 collection, channeling the visual ethos of revenge dressing.

The ensemble consisted of a lace-trimmed bralette, paired with a floor-length, ivory satin skirt that featured a sheer lace panel running down the back. An oversized satin coat, shrugged off her shoulders, amplified the sense of nonchalance. With her hair in a casual updo and minimal accessories, she let the outfit’s silhouette and materiality take center stage.
Hairstylist Bob Recine used Nexxus styling products to create her ponytail-bun. “We wanted to create something that balanced the sexy, chic vibe of her outfit with playful, undone elements—little messy tendrils, soft buns, and sleek, reflective hair. It’s the perfect mix of polished and effortless for the red carpet,” Recine said in a statement.

Allen was accompanied by designer Colleen Allen, who is nominated as Google Shopping American Emerging Designer of the Year.
Colleen Allen introduced her spring 2026 collection in September, playing with the idea of dressing for public and private life, inspired by her collection of vintage lingerie. “I started thinking about how women used to have these wardrobes for domestic life that were really intimate, only for their husbands, and sort of the bizarreness of that and the darkness of it,” she told WWD.
