As the world is counting down days to the final chapter of the popular show, Stranger Things, Netflix is preparing for the grand celebration of the show created by Duffer Brothers. Since its debut, the supernatural series has won a lot of hearts because of its spine-chilling narrative. For the final season of Stranger Things, Netflix has announced multiple events across five continents starting from November 6, 2025. Read on to know more details about the events planned for fans.
What to expect on Stranger Things Day?
November 6 is often described as the Stranger Things Day, because that day Will Byers was taken into the Upside Down. The world premiere for Stranger Things Season 5 will be held in Los Angeles on November 6, 2025. Duffer Brothers and the cast are expected to walk the red carpet, and the first five minutes of Volume 1 of Season 5 will be shown. For those who won’t be attending in person, the event including cast interviews, special content and red carpet will be livestreamed. Viewers from all continents will be able to watch the livestream.
Global events planned by Netflix for the premiere of Stranger Things
In North America, the world premiere will be held in Los Angeles and then a large street takeover is planned, which is called ‘Netflix x CicLAvia- Melrose Ave: Stranger Things 5 One Last Ride’. In this people can bike, skate or walk a Hawkins-themed route. Apart from this, New York, Atlanta, Chicago and San Francisco will have self-guided ‘Last Bike Rides’ routes and local fan events. These events reportedly will happen on November 23, 2025.
Across Europe, Netflix will stage several fan moments including Stranger Things pavilion and cast appearances at Lucca Comics & Games (Italy) on October 31, 2025, an exclusive fan screening at ODEON Luxe Leicester Square in London on November 13, 2025, interactive pop-ups such as the Stranger Things Clubhouse in Amsterdam between November 24-25, 2025, and walk-through ‘Last Adventure’ activations in Paris and Warsaw, between November 27-31, 2025.
In Asia, Oceania, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, local teams will plan events. Tokyo will host an RSVP fan event with recreated sets on November 22, 2025, while Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur will offer retro games and bike rides between November 21-30, 2025. Riyadh will have a desert themed ‘One Last Adventure’ on November 21, 2025 and Sydney will have a fan celebration called ‘The Upside Down Under’ on November 25, 2025.
Theatrical release of Stranger Things Season 5
Apart from the exciting events planned by Netflix and the team of Stranger Things, the OTT platform has also announced the theatrical release of the 2-hour finale of Season 5, in certain places. For those who don’t know, On December 31, 2025, the final episode of the popular show will be a special theatrical release in the United States and Canada. Additional locations will be announced soon by Netflix. This will let fans experience the spooky visuals, intense emotions and powerful acting on a big screen. Theatrical release will also be the best way to end the show.
