Gaggles of Los Angeles’ most stylish are busy preparing their Sunday bests ahead of this weekend’s Vogue World: Hollywood event — but several fashionable faces, including Jennifer Beals, Mamie Gummer and Mandy Moore, just kicked off the festivities early at Café Kallmeyer’s latest pop-up event at The Dresden.
Last night, Moore was spotted at the storied Hollywood lounge for the launch of Drafting, a new creative series from the new multi-platform culture-driving media company, Run-a-Muck, founded by former Condé Nast executive Pamela Drucker Mann. “Saturday Night Live” star Chloe Fineman co-hosted the event.
Moore was dressed in an elegant mahogany-colored strapless wool dress by South African designer Danielle Kallmeyer. The structured bodice gave way to a tailored pleated skirt, creating soft movement and a flattering fit for the evening event. The singer accessorized with matching pointy-toe heels and a slim silver handbag.
The actress, 41, opted for a warm shimmery eye with dark liner and glossy nude lips. Her light brown hair grazed the sparkly diamond tennis necklace around her neck.
It was a noticeably different look than her appearance earlier this month at Step Up’s 2025 Inspiration Awards, when she opted for bold red lips, dramatic brows and dark brunette roots.
Following that event, several fans found the previous teen pop singer to be “nearly unrecognizable,” suggesting the star had recently undergone a cosmetic procedure of some sort.
“I’m genuinely baffled,” one person wrote on X at the time. “I can’t figure it out how this can be the same person. Mandy Moore was such a natural beauty, why get work done to the point of being unrecognized.”
““I’m sorry but has anyone else seen MANDY MOORE lately?!!?!?! This is so far from her face assigned at birth????” a joked another.
The “This Is Us” star and mother of three — her youngest was born in September 2024 — has been in the public eye since making her singing debut at age 15 with the hit single “Candy.” To say that fashion and beauty trends have evolved since then would be an understatement.
While fans are quick to point out subtle changes in appearance, they might be overlooking the fact that aging on one’s own terms is a blessing.
From our point of view, there’s nothing sweeter.
