Feet off the dress.
On Saturday, “Die, My Love” co-stars Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson attended the film’s premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2025, where they made a not-so-graceful entrance.
After fluffing Lawrence’s voluminous Dior couture gown, which may or may not have violated the festival’s new dress code, the”Twilight” alum accidentally trampled over its train.
“Robert Pattinson taking care of Jennifer Lawrence dress and then stepping on it. 😂” one user wrote on X, sharing two red carpet pictures of the A-listers giggling after the incident.
“He must’ve lost his ‘train’ of thought” 🤣, one joked in the comment section. “They are so chaotic together and I love them so much!” a second wrote.
“katniss everdeen and edward cullen crossover is insane,” another said, referencing their characters in “The Hunger Games” and “Twilight,” respectively.
Lawrence’s custom Cannes dress was inspired by a 1949 Christian Dior “Poulenc” gown, according to her stylist Jamie Mizrahi, who shared original sketches and imagery on her Instagram.
The strapless look featured multiple layers of pleated fabric and a tie around the waist, which was much thinner than the designer’s ’49 version.
Lawrence wore the number with black strappy Aquazzura sandals ($790), subtle diamond studs, a Sophie Buhai clutch ($975) and a black Longines watch ($1,500). She had her hair in a slick-backed bun and added a red lip for a pop of color.
Pattinson, for his part, looked especially sharp in a black suit and coordinating bow tie.
Directed by Lynne Ramsay, “Die, My Love” follows couple Grace (played by Lawrence) and Jackson (Pattinson) who leave New York for a remote rural area, where the young mother is “fighting her inner demons,” according to an article on the festival’s website.
Lawrence opened up about her own postpartum struggles at a press junket for the movie, and the theme of motherhood is apropos as she welcomed her second child with husband Cooke Maroney just last month, making Cannes her first red carpet as a mom of two.
