A Houthi missile strike hit Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport on Saturday, injuring at least one person, according to reports. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) confirmed its failure to intercept the ballistic missile, which was fired from Yemen. Despite several attempts to shoot it down, the missile landed near the airport, striking a grove adjacent to an access road within its perimeter.
Footage from surveillance cameras captured the moment of impact. The missile strike led to a temporary halt in airport operations, with no take-offs or landings permitted while authorities investigated the incident. Emergency responders reported that one person, who was in a parking lot at the time, sustained minor injuries. The IDF is currently reviewing the situation to determine why their aerial defence systems failed to intercept the missile
