Reese Witherspoon kicked off her company Hello Sunshine’s third annual Shine Away event at Universal Studios Hollywood wearing a pair of classic Gianvito Rossi heels. The event took place on Saturday in Universal City, Calif.

Witherspoon was wearing the Gianvito Rossi 95mm Sling suede pumps, combining two of fall’s biggest trends: slingback heels and suede. The heels featured a classic buckle-fastening slingback strap design with the brand’s signature “Ribbon buckle,” shaped by the brand’s initials.
The actress opted for heels in terracotta-brown suede to coordinate with her dress. The pointed-toe pumps featured a high stiletto heel, measuring about four inches. The shoes retail for around $1,152 on websites like Farfetch and are also available in a tan shade.
She paired the slingback heels with a dark red Giambattista Valli knee-length dress. The frock featured gold bouclé button detailing on top of the pockets on the front of the dress, which also featured a belt detail on the waist. Witherspoon kept the rest of the look simple, pairing the sleeveless design with a gold bracelet and earrings.

Slingback heels have been trending for both red carpet events and on the runway. “The Hunting Wives” stars Brittany Snow and Malin Åkerman joined Witherspoon at the event, and Snow joined in on the footwear trend, pairing her short ankle-length black pants and white top with black slingback heels with a square vamp.
Through her Hello Sunshine events, Whitherspoon has been fostering a community to empower women at the Shine Away conference. Day one featured conversations with Mariska Hargitay, Chrissy Teigen, Lilly Singh, Karen Pittman, Monica Lewinsky and more, as well as the “Legally Blonde” star paying tribute to her former costar Diane Keaton, who died on Saturday.
