A Bengaluru-based entrepreneur shared an inspiring story on X about an Uber driver whose decision to prioritise family over corporate life has gone viral.

In a post on X, Varun Agarwal shared a picture of Deepesh who began his career with Reliance Retail, where he worked for eight years, earning around Rs 40,000 per month.

Despite a stable job, he struggled with poor work-life balance and found himself unable to spend time with his wife and children.

Deepesh, thus, realised that a demanding schedule was affecting his personal life. Hence, he made a bold decision by quitting his corporate job and becoming a full-time driver.

“And now he makes about Rs 56,000 a month. And works only for 21 days a month. And finally has the work-life balance that he always sought for,” Agarwal said.

Moreover, through disciplined savings, Deepesh managed to buy another car and has already hired a driver, taking the first step toward building his own fleet.

“Sometimes the best way to move forward in life is to take the driver’s seat,” Agarwal said in his post, praising Deepesh’s courage to redefine success on his own terms.

Take a look at the post here:

In the comments section of the post, social media users celebrated Deepesh’s journey and mindset.

“Knowing priorities, taking the risk and the less travelled path. People may think this is a demotion, but it’s actually a promotion for him and his family,” a user said.

Another added, “That’s a growth mindset. Nobody thinks for you. Take the driver’s seat of your own life.”

    More power to you, Deepesh!
