One Punch Man Season 3 has returned to Hulu on October 12, 2025. However, for the latest season, the makers have made some big changes from where they left off in Season 2. The fans will get to dive deeper into the Monster Association arc, as stakes rise to a level higher than ever before. However, not all the characters will be marking their return in Season 3.

One Punch Man Season 3 plot

One Punch Man Season 3 will continue the Monster Association storyline, which means the spotlight swings to the bigger monster hierarchy. The show will feature full-scale hero vs. monster clashes, placing a lot of pressure on the lower and mid-ranked heroes. That naturally pushes certain characters forward, while leaving others on the bench or dead.

Who will return in One Punch Man Season 3?

The latest story arc will bring some major cast changes to the manga series, which includes bidding farewell to some characters. However, it’s good news for ‘Mumen Rider’ fans as the bicycle-powered moral centre of the Hero Association, while he had limited screen time in Season 2, will continue to be a part of Season 3. The Monster Association crisis will be putting smaller heroes through the wringer. Nonetheless, ‘Mumen Rider’ is said to be the underdog spirit booster again, facing nastier threats and inspiring the guys who are not S-Class.

Another character who will be seen in Season 3 is ‘Speed-o-Sound Sonic’. The zipping ninja and ‘Saitama’s’ self-appointed rival will be back in the show. He will have more room to meddle in the coming episodes, as he could try crashing the ‘Hero vs Monster’ battles to test his limit. The funniest running gag in the show is the self-proclaimed strongest S-class hero, ‘King’, who is secretly terrified and completely powerless.

He will be back to bluff his way through tense moments, accidentally motivate people, and let the story breathe with some comedy. While big fights cannot be expected from ‘King’, he will definitely add some great reactions. ‘Superalloy Darkshine’ will also mark his return to Season 3, as the series will continue to push him harder, both physically and mentally.

Who will say goodbye to the show?

As for who will not be seen in One Punch Man Season 3, ‘Suiryu’ won’t be returning to the show, as he went from a cocky champion to getting obliterated when ‘Gouketsu’ attacked. He refused the monster-cells pitch, got brutalised for it, and that pretty much closed his arc. Fans might get a mention or a glimpse of recovery, but he won’t actively be a part of Season 3. Another character who said goodbye to One Punch Man Season 3 is ‘Bakuzan’. After he chowed down on monster cells under ‘Gouketsu’s’ influence, he became a walking example of ambition curdling into monstrosity.

However, ‘Saitama’ erased that problem fast. ‘Gouketsu’ was the tournament arc’s boss-level threat. Then he met ‘Saitama’, exchanged a couple of blows, and left the scene without a head, confirming that he won’t be returning for Season 3. Last but not least, ‘Charanko’ will also not be returning to the show. While loud and overeager, he was quickly humbled and doesn’t have much to contribute to the show anymore.

One Punch Man Season 3 is all about the Monster Association

The final line is that One Punch Man Season 3 doubles down on the Monster Association arc, which means bigger monsters, heavier battles, and more pressure on S-Class powerhouses. While the inspirational grinders and the world-class cowards add texture around the edges. If you are hoping for a tournament rematch tour, this is not the season for it.
