Prince Harry is reportedly upset by the criticism Megan Markle received last week while in Paris.
The Duke of Sussex is reportedly “hurt and upset” after his wife generated negative headlines for a video she shared that showed her stretching her feet out in the back of a limo close to the Pont d’Alma tunnel, where Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, died.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams blasted the “utterly bewildering” and “beyond stupid” social media upload, calling the post “insensitive beyond belief.”
The Duchess, 44, was reportedly not aware of the car’s location.
Harry, 41, is said to have been left “despondent but not surprised” by the unrelenting criticism hurled toward his wife.
A pal of the couple said that, “‘Harry was left hurt and upset. Diana’s death was used as a stick to beat his wife with. [Meghan] did not even pass close to the tunnel,” reports the Daily Mail.
The “Suits” alum was also slammed for giggling while sitting in the front row at Balenciaga’s spring-summer 2026 show at the designer label’s Paris headquarters.
A spokesperson for the couple did not respond to a request for comment.
Markle has been the target of unrelenting criticism since she was first linked to Prince Harry.
In a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, the “With Love, Meghan” star shared that the constant scrutiny had left her suicidal.
Last week, the couple reunited in New York, where they were honored as Humanitarians of the Year at the Project Healthy Minds Gala.
Markle spoke about their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, during their speech, which focused on the dangers of social media.
“They’re still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming,” she said.
“Like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits while safeguarding against its dangers,” Markle continued. “And that hopeful intention of separation is rapidly becoming impossible.”
Harry agreed that this is a “pivotal moment” to “protect children and support families in the digital age.”
