Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan celebrated his 83rd birthday on Saturday, making the day extra special by breaking his usual ritual. Instead of the customary Sunday wave, Big B stepped out in the evening to greet the fans gathered outside his home and even distributed goodies to them.
In the videos and pictures that surfaced, he can be seen waving warmly at fans, dressed in a vibrant yellow-orange patterned jacket paired with a classic white kurta-pyjama.

The celebrations extended to an episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC), where Farhan Akhtar and Javed Jaffrey joined Big B on the hot seat to mark the occasion.
In the clip, Amitabh is seen cutting a birthday cake and recreating his iconic dialogue from ‘Zanjeer’ – “Jab tak baithne ko na kaha jaaye, khade raho. Yeh police thana hai, tumhare baap ka ghar nahi.”
Amitabh Bachchan’s career spans over five decades, showcasing his versatility in roles ranging from a freedom fighter in his 1969 debut ‘Saat Hindustani’ to a futuristic rebel in 2024’s sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. The megastar was last seen on screen in Rajinikanth’s ‘Vettaiyan’, alongside Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, and Ritika Singh, released theatrically last October.
Looking ahead, Big B has Ribhu Dasgupta’s ‘Section 84’ featuring Diana Penty and Nimrat Kaur, and will lend his voice as narrator in the upcoming animated film ‘120 Bahadur’, featuring Farhan Akhtar. Meanwhile, he continues to entertain audiences as the host of the 17th season of ‘KBC’.
