Kareena Kapoor Khan, the ever-graceful trendsetter of Bollywood, recently attended an exclusive event by Fable & Mane in Dubai. As the first global brand ambassador of the haircare brand, Kareena spoke to Emirates Woman about her connection with the brand’s philosophy, her haircare rituals, and the little indulgences that make her feel at home — even miles away from Mumbai.

At the heart of her collaboration with Fable & Mane, Kareena says, is a shared love for Indian heritage. “I think it’s rooted in tradition. So for me, it’s like an instant connect, which I really love,” she shared, adding, “India is going to the world, and we are bringing India to the world and across the world. That’s something Fable & Mane absolutely loves — old-school traditions.”
When asked to pick her must-have from the brand, Kareena instantly named the Maha Mane Hair Oil. “It’s more like a post-wash kind of hair oil, which I love and carry with me everywhere,” she revealed.
For someone constantly under the spotlight, hair wellness takes on special importance. “Regular massages and using the right hair oils are key,” Bebo noted. “Especially for an actor like me who’s in the sun all the time or uses a lot of products, the Fable & Mane Holy Roots Hair Oil works wonders.”
Her approach to beauty, however, is refreshingly simple. “No matter what, I always remove my makeup — even if it’s 4 o’clock in the morning,” she confessed. And when asked to choose between skincare or makeup, she found it hard to pick. “It’s tough because somehow they’re really related — skin and makeup.”
A self-confessed haircare enthusiast, the 45-year-old actress said she never skips her shampoo-and-conditioner routine. “We girls love washing our hair… every alternate day, if not every two days,” she smiled. As for her favourite ingredient? “Definitely amla,” she said without hesitation.
On a rare day off, Kareena admits she prefers staying in bed and catching up on rest. But in Dubai, her go-to indulgence is unsurprising — “Shopping! Dubai is known for its shopping, and it’s so close to home,” she said. And the one thing she always packs before heading there? “Sunglasses — because it’s hot!”
Speaking of the professional front, she has recently started shooting for her next with Meghna Gulzar, co-starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, titled Daayra.
