Meghan Markle shared a sweet backstage moment with her husband, Prince Harry, following their joint appearance at the Project Healthy Mind Gala on Thursday.

In a video clip shared to Instagram Stories on Friday, the Duchess of Sussex laughed as Harry appeared to crack a joke backstage at the event.

Markle didn’t include any audio from the interaction. Instead, Sylvie Vartan’s “Baby, C’est Vous” played in the background as the married couple laughed.

“Happy World Mental Health Day,” the “With Love, Meghan” host wrote atop the clip. “…to the man who always keeps me laughing.” Markle, 44, concluded the upload with a red heart emoji.

The couple made a rare appearance on the red carpet at the New York City event, rocking coordinating black suits for the outing.

The mom of two wore a plunging Armani blazer with matching slacks, accessorizing with a heavy gold chain necklace. Her husband, 41, wore a black suit and tie with a white button down shirt.

At one point, the Duke of Sussex made a grab at the “Suits” alum’s rear end, showing overt PDA on the red carpet as the cameras flashed. The pair also held hands, with Markle gazing up at Harry lovingly in some photos.

The longtime mental health advocates were honored with the Humanitarians of the Year award for their efforts to make the online world safer for families and youth, through their Archewell Foundation.

The couple issued a statement ahead of their appearance at the gala. “As parents ourselves, we have been moved to action by the power of their stories and are honored to support them,” they said, referencing their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.

“We’re proud to be long-time partners of Project Healthy Minds as we work together to shine a light on what remains one of the most pressing issues of our time.”

During her speech, Markle addressed the ongoing challenges posed by social media to young minds. “Luckily, they’re still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming,” she said of their little ones.

“And like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits while safeguarding against its dangers. And that hopeful intention of separation is rapidly becoming impossible.”

Markle and Prince Harry married in a lavish royal ceremony in the UK in 2018. They abdicated their duties as senior members of the British royal family in 2020, moving to Montecito, Calif., where they’re raising Archie and Lilibet.
