Television actor, Nandish Sandhu, who rose to fame with the 2009 show, Uttaran, is all set to enter a new phase of his life. The actor was previously married to actress, Rashami Desai, but the duo ended their marriage in 2015 due to irreconcilable differences. Since then, both the actors have moved on in their lives.
Nandish Sandhu announces his engagement
And now, Nandish announced his engagement news through social media. Taking to his Instagram handle, Nandish posted pictures with his fiancee, surprising his fans. One of the pictures also featured Nandish and his ladylove dressed in their traditional attire for their engagement ceremony.
Other pictures consisted of some cosy moments of Nandish and his fiancée from their lunch date and moonlit night. The duo looked madly in love with one another in the pictures as they shared some intimate and romantic moments with each other. He captioned the post as, “Hi Partner, Ready?” followed by a ring and heart emoticon.
Nandish Sandhu’s previous marriage to Rashami Desai
Nandish and Rashami met on the sets of the Hindi serial, Uttaran. Soon, their on-screen chemistry evolved into off-screen love, and the couple got married in 2012. After three years of marriage, Nandish and Rashami parted their ways and were granted a divorce in 2016. In a recent interaction with Siddharth Kannan, Nandish spoke about their divorce, calling it a mature decision that they had undertaken mutually.
Rashami Desai claimed being physically abused by Nandish Sandhu
Rashami Desai has always mentioned that she was in an abusive marriage with Nandish Sandhu, and yet she was the one who was blamed. She had also mentioned that there is a lot about him that she could have brought into the limelight, but she won’t talk about it. In her words:
“But to point fingers at me and claiming you did everything to save it – I’m sorry, my relationship was always abusive! I’ve not been staying with him for more than 3 years now, and there are so many things I could’ve revealed about him if I wanted to. I don’t want to say anything in particular, but jo samajhne wale hain woh samajh jaenge.”
Previously, during an interview with Pinkvilla, Rashami Desai spilt the beans on what actually went wrong in her marriage with ex-husband, Nandish Sandhu. She added, realising later how important it is to protest against wrong things in life, but she couldn’t do it due to her fear of losing people. Moreover, she added that she wanted to end the marriage, since their clashes kept on dragging on a lot more.
