Ananya Panday made her mark at Paris Fashion Week as she attended the Chanel show for Matthew Blazy’s much-anticipated debut collection. The actress, who has been steadily carving a global fashion presence, appeared relaxed and radiant as she spoke to Elle India and Vogue about her look for the evening, her thoughts on the collection, and some light-hearted snippets from her personal life.

Talking about her look for the show, Ananya described it as effortlessly chic. “So the hair and makeup look is very easy. It’s very sophisticated. It’s very natural. We really wanted the skin to speak and you know, we want it to be glowy and dewy and the hair to be very natural. Almost my natural texture with a little bit of chic,” she explained. Her outfit, an oversized knit cardigan paired with a short skirt, was designed around comfort and authenticity. “The theme of tonight is come as you are and I feel very comfortable. I feel lovely and I feel like this look is fit perfectly for who I am,” she added.
Ananya seemed deeply impressed by Blazy’s debut at Chanel, calling it a refreshing take on the brand’s heritage. “I’m in love already with Matthew’s debut collection. I mean my mind is blown, I have stars in my eyes, there are stars all around me,” she said enthusiastically. She further praised his reinterpretation of Chanel classics, noting, “I just love the way he’s reimagined the tweed, how he’s reimagined the jackets, the cuts. It’s just going to be trailblazing with women in fashion today and not just women. Honestly, I feel I’m going to see a lot of men steal these pieces.”
Away from the fashion talk, the actress gave fans a glimpse into her off-duty personality. Her go-to karaoke song? Taylor Swift’s ‘You Belong With Me’. Her lazy Sunday comfort meal? “Benne dosa.” Ananya also revealed that she isn’t much of a cook but can “bake a good cookie.” When asked where she’d love to travel next, she admitted, “I really want to go to Hawaii, I’ve never been to Hawaii.”
If she could invite anyone to a party — living or dead — she’d choose “Matthew Blazy, Gabrielle Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld.” Describing herself in three words, she chose the French phrase “Je ne sais quoi (a certain indescribable charm)”.
As for her self-care mantra during the hectic fashion week, it’s all about simplicity: “Just chug bottles of water and sleep and eat.”
